Objectives

Network security has become an important topic in recent years. In today's IT environments, users and organizations are bound to encounter threats from outside the intranet. Within the network, thousands of employees and partners connect via Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) to access important information. Unauthorized access must be restricted to ensure information security.

The objective of this course is to give students an understanding of network security and IT security solutions. Upon completion of this course, students will understand the basic concepts of IPSec/SSL/L2TP VPN protocols and IPSec/SSL/L2TP VPN configuration. They will also perform basic troubleshooting of IPSec/SSL/L2TP VPN issues. Furthermore, students will also grasp concepts such as IDP/ADP, One-Time Password mechanism, and enhancements of the ZyWALL USG series.
