Objectives

As the demand for high bandwidth increases, a network's stability, accessibility and processing capacity becomes crucial. Networks today have matured into using Internet Protocol Digital Subscriber Line Access Multiplexer (IP DSLAM) in their access networks. However, deployment of IP DSLAM can be complicated, due to its varied deployments under Internet Service Providers (ISPs), Fiber-to-the-curb (FTTC) and Fiber-to-the-building (FTTB) settings.

The objective of this course is to provide students an overview of IP DSLAM and its solutions. Students will learn the various deployments, VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) and DSL technology in IP DSLAM. They will also be given a hands-on opportunity to deploy a highly stable access network with high processing capacity – utilizing ZyXEL IP DSLAM. Upon completing this course, students will have a very firm grasp of IP DSLAM and ZyXEL IP DSLAM products.
